Parallels virtulization software reaches final release version
I have been using Parallels since the beta program started and it steadily matured with each new release. The final release is the fastest and most stable yet.
I have been using it primarily for testing on Windows systems, but I have used it to run Web conferences using GoTo Meeting. So far, without a hitch.
It occurred to me that I can also use it to create staging environments for testing out software upgrades on our Debian linux servers. Plus it has just been fun to play around in Linux again.
The only issue I had, was upgrading from an early beta to a later beta, which caused the app to stop working. My only recourse was to reinstall the entire Mac OS. It seemed a little extreme at the time, but I couldn't seem to solve the problem any other way. But now the final release seems to be running well.
